Here’s how we do it:

• Assuming the existing bitumen felt flat roof is solid and not water damaged our first job is to strip the old roofing membrane off around the perimeter and upstands as appropriate for the particular roof. We also remove any lumps and bumps that could affect the fall.

• We then grind out a nice deep chase in any upstands to allow the rubber membrane to be properly flashed into the wall. Then a quick clean up and dry of the roof as required and we are ready to begin installing the new roof deck.

• A new OSB3 Smart Ply flat roof deck is then installed. If the roof is not falling correctly and suffering from ponding issues we will either pack the new deck or install timber firrings to achieve the correct fall and ensure efficient water run off.

• The Firestone RubberCover EPDM single ply membrane is then fitted to the garage flat roof making it watertight. This is achieved with a single sheet of EPDM single ply membrane with no seams or joints depending on the shape of the flat roof.

• The garage flat roof is then completed with high quality Kerb and Gutter Trims as required.
